7 million copies of Putin's judo textbook are headed for Russia's primary schools

Russian primary schools will receive about 7 million copies of a textbook called “The Art of Judo: From Game to Mastery.” The book's authors include Vladimir Putin and Arkady Rotenberg, the president's long-time friend.
The book was unveiled at a press conference today in Moscow where the members of Russia's judo team for the Rio Olympics were revealed.
According to the president of the textbook's publisher (which is owned partly by Rotenberg), “The Art of Judo” is aimed at raising a healthy next generation of Russians, the news agency RBC reports. The textbook will be distributed to schoolchildren just beginning their education.
