Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, paid a visit yesterday to the Bellingshausen Station on King George Island in Antarctica, where he took a stroll among the penguins. Below, you'll find footage of Kirill's epic journey. The video is long and it is boring.

To spare you the entire video, we've highlighted the two biggest moments in the patriarch's excursion:

Inevitably, Russian Internet users have jumped at the opportunity for satire presented by footage of the patriarch meeting a colony of penguins.

“Are you baptized?”

Admirers of the TV show “Adventure Time” will enjoy this cameo by Ice King and Gunter.

“Well, hello there, local citizen.”

In February 2015, the city of Stavropol celebrated Maslenitsa (“Pancake Week”) by cooking up a giant pancake, and serving to the public with snow shovels. This year's Maslenitsa doesn't begin until March 7, but Russian Internet users are already prepared to imagine Kirill bringing fluffy delight to Antarctica's waddling wildlife.

And what meme would be complete without some obligatory Star Wars crap?

(P.S. One more Star Wars joke.)
