At least six members of one family killed in Russian missile strike near Kryvyi Rih. Rescue workers are still searching the rubble for three more people.

A Russian missile strike killed multiple members of one family — a father, a mother, and at least four of their children — in the village of Radushne in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region.

Radushne lies several kilometers southeast of Kryvyi Rih. Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s Defense Council, reported on the morning of July 30 that an Iskander-M ballistic missile struck a private home in Radushne directly, killing six people and wounding eight.

It later emerged that the house belonged to the Voronovs, a large family. Rescuers pulled the bodies of Artem and Olena Voronov and four of their children from the rubble, according to local officials. The rescue operation is ongoing.

The local outlets Svoi and Pershyi Miskyi report that Artem was 47 and Olena was 41. Seven children were in the house with them: 17-year-old Mark, who was studying to become a railway worker in Kryvyi Rih, and six school-age children — 15-year-old Dominika, 14-year-old Viorika, 12-year-old Zakharii, 11-year-old Azarii Ilai, 10-year-old Federika, and six-year-old Emilia. It remains unclear which of them were among the dead.

The Voronovs had 10 children in total. Also in the house was their 1.5-year-old grandson, also named Artem, the son of the Voronovs’ eldest son, who serves in the army. The couple’s eldest daughter and another son are currently abroad.

Another woman injured in the strike on Radushne remains in serious condition in the hospital. A family who lived next door to the Voronovs — a woman and her two children, rescued from the rubble — has also been hospitalized.
