Kirill Sukhanov, Ksenia Sobchak’s former commercial director, has been released from a penal colony, the Telegram channels Mash, Baza, and 112 reported.

Sukhanov spent four years in prison. According to 112, the Skopin District Court in Russia’s Ryazan region granted his petition, presumably for parole.

Sukhanov, former Tatler editor-in-chief Arian Romanovsky, and former Life journalist Tamerlan Bigayev were accused of extorting 11 million rubles from Sergey Chemezov, the head of the state defense conglomerate Rostec, for a “stop order” preventing negative posts on the Telegram channel Tushite Svet.

In February 2024, a court sentenced Sukhanov to seven and a half years in a penal colony. Romanovsky and Bigayev each received seven-year prison sentences.

In September 2024, an appeals court eased the sentences, reducing Sukhanov’s term by two years and cutting Romanovsky’s and Bigayev’s terms from seven years to five. Romanovsky was released in May 2026.
