Russia and Ukraine have exchanged the bodies of fallen soldiers, according to Shamsail Saraliev, a deputy in the State Duma, the lower house of Russia’s parliament, and a representative of the parliamentary coordination group on ”SVO” affairs, who spoke to the Russian business news outlet RBC.

Russia handed over 261 bodies, while Ukraine handed over 24.

Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War confirmed the exchange.

Moscow and Kyiv last exchanged the bodies of fallen soldiers on July 16. At the time, Russia handed over 501 bodies to Ukraine, receiving 31 bodies from Ukraine.
