Ukraine attacked Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan with drones. Radiy Khabirov, the region’s governor, said “drone debris” fell in an industrial zone in the city of Salavat, sparking a fire. No deaths or injuries have been reported so far.

Ukrainian Telegram channels Supernova+ and Exilenova+ claimed the strike hit an oil refinery in Salavat. The independent Telegram channel Astra reported that residents saw smoke rising from the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat plant, one of Russia’s largest oil refineries.

Ukrainian channels also reported that the drone attack sparked a fire at a Wildberries warehouse. Local media wrote that residents of the Chishminsky district in Bashkortostan saw black smoke near the company’s distribution center.

Neither Wildberries nor local authorities have commented publicly.

Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat was attacked previously, overnight on July 14. The following day, Reuters sources reported that the strike had damaged two primary oil-processing units at the plant, forcing them offline.
