The Lamborghini belongs to Ural businessman Igor Altushkin, owner of the Russian Copper Company, according to media reports. His son, David, was behind the wheel and was injured.
Traffic police in the Sverdlovsk region said the driver lost control of the vehicle, injuring one pedestrian. The car has 16 speeding tickets on record, Mash reported.
“Baza” said two men were injured sitting on the porch when the sports car crashed into the house. One of them, who had recently returned from the war in Ukraine and was walking with crutches, suffered multiple fractures and a closed traumatic brain injury.
Timur Khalilov, 23, a former professional boxer, was also injured in a crash, the Telegram channel Ostorozhno, Novosti reported. Khalilov was arrested in the spring of 2025 on charges of kidnapping a resident of Samara. By the time of his arrest, according to the outlet, he had already signed a contract with Russia’s Ministry of Defense.
Altushkin has been called an “Orthodox oligarch” — he financed the construction and restoration of churches in the Sverdlovsk region and regularly donated expensive icons to the Russian Orthodox Church. In 2019, his attempt to build a church on the site of a park in Yekaterinburg sparked a wave of protests among local residents.
Forbes Russia estimates Altushkin’s fortune at $4.9 billion. The Moscow Times, an independent Russian news outlet, reported that he sponsors the “Ural” battalion — an assault unit of Russia’s Defense Ministry fighting in Ukraine’s Luhansk region.
Altushkin’s wife and one of his sons hold British citizenship, and the family owns a mansion and several apartments in London, according to data from the independent Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta.
