The Kremlin’s press service announced Tuesday that Vladimir Putin will address Russia’s Federal Assembly on February 29.
According to the Russian business daily Kommersant, the speech will serve as part of Putin’s campaign for his fifth term as president ahead of the country’s predetermined election in March.
Sources told the newspaper that Putin will address topics including Russia’s “technological, academic, and military sovereignty,” the “special military operation” (as the Kremlin refers to the war against Ukraine), and Russia’s economic developmnent and demographics situation.
