In a statement published Wednesday, Romania’s Foreign Ministry said it plans to summon Russia’s ambassador in Bucharest in response to the third incident this month in which what appear to be Russian drone fragments have landed on Romanian territory.

“The Foreign Ministry expresses its strong protest against the repeated violation of Romania’s airspace,” read the statement.

The agency also said that it has informed its NATO allies of the incidents.

Romania reported finding fragments of drones of the type used by the Russian military on September 4, September 9, and September 13.
