Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia’s Belgorod region often suffers from shelling.

Since October 20, the region is on “mid-level alert” under the Russian graduated martial law, which permits the regional authorities to relocate residents and limit their freedom of movement.

On October 22, two people were killed in Shebekino and more than 10 were wounded during another strike.
