The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has urged Iran to stop supplying Russia with the weapons it uses in the war against Ukraine. A statement published on the ministry’s official website addresses the government of Iran:
Supplying weapons to wage an aggressive war in Ukraine and to kill Ukrainian citizens makes Iran an accomplice to Russia's criminal aggression, its war crimes, and its acts of terrorism against Ukraine.

In the past week, the Foreign Ministry said in its statement, Russia has used Iranian “kamikaze” drones as part of over a hundred air strikes on Ukrainian cities. These massive attacks have damaged apartment buildings, power plants, sewage treatment plants, bridges, playgrounds, and other kinds of civilian infrastructure and facilities. There were also civilian casualties.
Following the Crimean Bridge explosion on October 8, Russia launched a number of massive air strikes against Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv. According to the Ukrainian authorities, a third of the country’s energy infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed by the shelling.
