Photos and videos show the aftermath of Ukrainian drone strikes that killed eight night-shift workers at online retailer Wildberries’ warehouses in Russia

Source: Meduza

In the early hours of July 18, Ukrainian drones struck two Wildberries logistics centers in the Moscow and Tambov regions. At a warehouse in the city of Kotovsk, seven night-shift workers were killed and 25 were injured. In Elektrostal — home to Wildberries’ largest warehouse in Russia, with a floor area of more than 360,000 square meters (about 3.9 million square feet) — 24 people were injured. Two more were injured in Noginsk after a strike hit an oil depot. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the strikes were a response to Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, likely referring to strikes on Nova Poshta facilities. He also said the Wildberries warehouses held components used to produce drones, as well as “navigation equipment.” After the strikes, large fires broke out at the logistics centers. Subscribers to the Telegram channel Astra reported that smoke from the burning facilities in the Moscow region was visible from 50 kilometers (about 31 miles) away.
