State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin <a href="https://t.me/ostorozhno_novosti/21654" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">said</a> during the session that the amendments were adopted so that boys would be able to take care of their future wives, and girls their future husbands. “We have to think about our other half, about our wives. And what kind of man is a man that has no skills in labor, if he can’t support a woman in his future life? That’s why all this is reflected in our law,” Volodin said.
