Kyiv’s Motherland Monument illuminated in stars and stripes for U.S. Independence Day

To commemorate American Independence Day on July 4, Kyiv’s Motherland Monument was illuminated in stars and stripes that evening, standing against the night sky as if wrapped in the American flag. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky <a href="https://t.me/V_Zelenskiy_official/6842" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">congratulated</a> the U.S. on the state holiday: “Only the brave gain independence, and only the best of the brave are able to pass the freedom from generation to generation. It is an honor for us to be an ally of such a dream, of bravery and freedom.”
