On the evening of July 1, the end of Russia’s final day of voting in the plebiscite on constitutional amendments, protesters opposing the “zeroing” of Vladimir Putin’s presidential terms gathered in Pushkin Square in downtown Moscow. The rally turned out to be rather small, with no more than a few hundred people taking part. Law enforcement didn’t get involved.
