Meet the oldest person in Russia to recover from the coronavirus. She’s 100.

On May 13, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency’s Center for Brain and Neurotechnology discharged Pelagia Poyarkova, Russia’s first patient over the age of 100 to recover from COVID-19. She <a href="https://www.interfax.ru/russia/708447" target="_blank">reportedly</a> contracted the disease while hospitalized for a planned procedure. Poyarkova was widowed during the Second World War with an infant. She currently lives with her daughter and son-in-law.
