On July 20, protesters gathered on Moscow's Sakharov Prospect to demand that opposition politicians running for Moscow City Duma seats be permitted to register their candidacy. According to the <a href="https://twitter.com/WhiteCounter/status/1152558410426146816" target="_blank">White Counter project</a>, about 21,500 people had joined the protest by 3:30 PM local time.
