North Korea has sent 100 artillery systems to Russia, including M1989 Koksan 170-millimeter self-propelled cannons and M-1991 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), reports Forbes, citing Andriy Kovalenko, the head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation.
The Koksans have a firing range of about 40 kilometers (25 miles), while the M1991 MLRS can reach up to 60 kilometers (37 miles). Equipped with 240-mm rockets weighing 85 kilograms, the M-1991 systems outmatch all artillery systems available to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in range, except for the American HIMARS. Forbes notes that the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv falls within the range of the M-1991 rockets.
