North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui referred to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine as a “sacred war” during a visit to Moscow on Friday.
“From the very start of the special military operation, the esteemed Kim Jong Un has instructed us to provide unwavering and powerful support to the Russian army and the Russian people in their sacred war, without looking back at anyone,” the diplomat said during talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Choe Son Hui also said she’s confident that Russia will “achieve victory in this sacred struggle to defend its sovereign rights and national security,” and that North Korea “will stand firm with its Russian comrades until victory day.”
