Newly appointed Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi described the operational situation on the Kupiansk and Avdiivka fronts as “extremely complex and tense,” after a visit to the area with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

Syrskyi wrote on Telegram that the Russian army has a numerical advantage in personnel and does not care about losses.

Without specifying the details, he went on to say that he has “made a number of important decisions aimed at strengthening the combat capabilities of [Ukraine’s] military units and preventing enemy actions.”
