Source: Meduza

A train collision at a station in Russia’s Ulyanovsk region (roughly 530 miles east of Moscow) injured 25 people on Wednesday, according to a statement on Telegram by Russian Railways. Neither the passenger train nor the locomotive it struck derailed in the incident. Preliminary data suggest that the accident (which occurred in heavy snow) was the result of safety violations at the train station. Russian Railways says it’s launched an internal investigation.
