Finland to close border crossings with Russia

The Finnish authorities plan to close crossing points on the country’s border with Russia on Thursday out of national security concerns, according to the outlets Helsingin Sanomat and Ilta-Sanomat.
Helsingin Sanomat noted that a press conference by Interior Minister Mari Rantanen that was scheduled for Wednesday was canceled due to the “worsening border situation.”
The outlet said it’s unclear whether all of the border crossings will be closed or just some of them.
