Update: According to local media reports, the strike’s death toll has risen to 3, while at least 25 people were injured.
A Russian missile has struck a medical center in Dnipro, killing at least one person and injuring at least 15, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Operations to clear up the damage from the strike and to save the victims are ongoing. All of the necessary services have been brought in,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.
Dnipropetrovsk Governor Serhiy Lysak reported the same casualty numbers and posted photos of the strike’s aftermath. He said that two buildings caught on fire and that the blaze spread to an area of about 500 square meters (5,380 square feet). He later added that two of the people injured were children: a 3-year-old and a 6-year-old.
