Poland closes last available border checkpoint to Belarusian freight traffic
Poland will suspend Belarusian freight traffic through the only checkpoint still available to freight vehicles on the two countries’ border, the Kukuryki–Kozlowicze crossing, at 7:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, the Polish Interior Ministry has reported.
The restriction will reportedly last “until the Belarusian authorities remove the restrictions for Polish freight vehicles.”
In early February, the Polish authorities closed the Bobrowniki border crossing, one of the largest on the Belarusian border, citing “national security concerns.” In response, Belarus suspended traffic for Polish freight vehicles through checkpoints on its borders with Latvia and Lithuania.
