A missile attack hit the city of Melitopol, in Russian-annexed Ukrainian territory, on the evening of December 10. Ukrainian Mayor Ivan Fyodorov posted about serious fires in the western and southern parts of the city. According to Fyodorov, the strike was launched at a Russian military collection point, and Russian losses reached 200 people.

Yevgeny Balitsky, the Russian-appointed head of the annexed Zaporizhzhia region, confirmed the strike on Melitopol. He says a recreation center “where people, civilians, were having dinner on Saturday night, and staff was working” was hit.

Vladimir Rogov, spokesperson for the Russian-appointed administration of the Zaporizhzhia region, said that the recreation center Prival Okhotnika was struck by rockets from a HIMARS rocket-launching system. Two Ukrainian missiles were shot down, and the rest reached their targets, RIA Novosti quotes Rogov as saying.

Ukrainian Armed Forces leadership has not commented on the strike on Melitopol.
