Odesa is without electricity after Russian drone attack

Odesa is completely without electricity, with the exception of some pieces of critical infrastructure, following a Russian attack on energy targets, says the Telegram channel Odesa Official, citing the DTEK Odesa energy company.

The targets were attacked overnight by kamikaze drones, the Ukrainian military reported in the morning of December 10.

The Odesa region is also experiencing emergency power outages. In addition, shelling left part of the Ukrainian-controlled Kherson region without power.

Russia has been shelling Ukrainian energy infrastructure regularly since October, leaving Ukrainians without electricity, water, and heat. In early December, Vladimir Putin, commenting on Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy system, said that Ukraine started it.
