Ukrainian authorities revoke CNN and Sky News journalists' accreditation for reporting from liberated Kherson
Multiple journalists from foreign news organizations have lost their media accreditations in Ukraine for violating government rules on reporting in combat zones, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported on Monday.
“Recently, multiple members of the media, ignoring existing bans and precautions that were in place, and without the approval of the relevant commanders and military units’ public relations services, conducted information activities in the city of Kherson before the completion of stabilization measures. These actions are a blatant violation of [Ukrainian law],” read the military’s statement.
The statement did not specify which journalists have had their permits revoked.
According to sources who spoke to the outlet Detector Media, at least six journalists, including reporters from CNN and Sky News, lost their accreditations.
