Meduza journalist Vladimir Sevrinovsky arrested in Dagestan

The journalist Vladimir Sevrinovsky has been arrested in Makhachkala, Dagestan, according to Dagestani publication Novoye Delo.

Update: According to lawyer Marina Dubrovina, Sevrinovsky has been sentenced to five days of administrative arrest in Makhachkala. The journalist was charged with disrupting the procedure for holding a rally, harming human health or property.

Sevrinovsky was taken to the Makhachkala police department, and was able to call a lawyer and report that he needed legal aid. After that, the connection was interrupted. It is not yet clear what the journalist has been charged with.

Sevrinovsky was in Makhachkala on assignment for Meduza.
