Two people, including former Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Zhuravko, were killed in a missile strike in the center of Kherson on the morning of September 25, reports Interfax, citing Russian-controlled emergency services in the region.

“According to preliminary data, one missile strike was recorded on a hotel in the center of Kherson, which housed ordinary civilians, without arms or equipment,” said a representative of emergency services.

According to the occupying administration in the Kherson region, there were journalists covering the “referendums” in the building. RIA Novosti claims that a group from RT were living in the hotel, and that no journalists were injured.

In times of war, it is impossible to promptly confirm information disseminated by representatives of either side of the conflict.
