Anti-war protests resume in Russian cities, protestors arrested

September 24 saw actions against the war in Ukraine and the forced Russian mobilization in cities across Russia. Participants in the actions are being arrested.

At time of publication there was news of arrests in Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Chita, and Khabarovsk.

Police immediately surrounded protestors in Novosibirsk.
10 people were arrested in Tomsk.
Arrests in Irkutsk
In Chita, Marina Salomatova was arrested for a one-person picket. Her sign reads “We are not meat!”
Arrests have begun at anti-war actions in Khabarovsk. At least two people were arrested on Lenin Square. One had a sign reading “mobilize yourself, you bald rat.”
