Several workshops at the Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) plant have stopped production, reports the Belarusian news outlet TUT.by.
According to the news site, police wagons and buses with riot police have arrived at the site. The company’s management has yet to comment on the situation. The Telegram channel Nexta Live is referring to what’s happening as a strike.
Sources told the Russian state-controlled news agency Sputnik that at least two of the plant’s units have stopped production: the pipe-rolling and cable workshops.
