Russia’s coronavirus patient population continues to fall, with roughly 11,000 recovered and 8,300 infected in the past day

On the morning of May 27, Russian officials announced that as many as 142,208 people in Russia are known to have recovered fully from COVID-19, including 11,079 in the past day. Also in the last 24 hours, another 161 people reportedly died from the disease, raising Russia’s total number of fatalities officially caused by coronavirus to 3,968.
The country also recorded 8,338 new coronavirus infections in the past day (577 fewer new cases than the day before), bringing the nation’s total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 370,680 patients.
Russia says it’s conducted more than 9.4 million coronavirus tests, so far, including 255,000 in the past day.
