All Russian tourists who are currently vacationing in China on organized tours will be returned to Russia by February 4, the press service of Russia’s government agency for tourism announced.

Rosturizm’s data indicates that about 5,600 people currently fit that description.

At least 100 deaths and more than 4,500 infections have been reported in the coronavirus outbreak originating in China. The first cases involving patients who had not been to China were reported in Germany and Japan on January 28.

As early as January 24, Russia’s consumer welfare agency recommended against the country’s citizens traveling to China.
