Russian journalist-turned-mercenary reportedly killed in Libya
Yevgeny Ilyubayev, a journalist from Yekaterinburg, has evidently been killed in the Libyan civil war, the local investigative outlet Znak.com reported based on anonymous tips.
The outlet indicated that the 55-year-old Ilyubayev had been fighting in Libya for a private military company, presumably the infamous Wagner PMC. He was reportedly buried in Russia last week.
Meduza previously discovered that between 10 and 35 Russian mercenaries had recently been killed in the Libyan conflict.
