The Moscow City Court has affirmed the Nikulinsky District Court’s decision not to deprive Pyotr and Yelena Khomsky of their parental rights, a correspondent for Meduza reported from the courtroom. The couple was sighted with their children at an opposition protest.
Prosecutors continued to advocate for the Khomskys’ children to be taken away from them following the district court’s decision. Meanwhile, the family’s attorney asked the Moscow City Court to cancel a warning from the district court ordering the Khomskys to “change their behavior.” The court refused both requests.
Prosecutors have also asked for another couple, Olga and Dmitry Prokazov, to be deprived of their parental rights. A court refused that request as well.
