Source: TASS

Ali Rabiei, an official representative for the government of Iran, announced at a Tehran press conference that Russian journalist Yulia Yuzik is not suspected of espionage. Reports emerged on October 4 that Yuzik was arrested in the Iranian capital on charges of spying for the Israeli government.

“As far as I know, the reasons for the arrest are connected to visa issues,” Rabiei told the Russian government wire service TASS.
