Pilot in Montenegro-Moscow flight loses consciousness, forcing emergency landing

As Russians continue to grapple with the aftermath of a Moscow airplane fire that killed 41, the lead pilot in a Montenegro Airlines flight from Tivat to Moscow lost consciousness in the air, the wire service Interfax reported.

The agency indicated that the copilot contacted dispatchers after the incident and subsequently made an emergency landing in Kaluga, Russia. The pilot was taken to a hospital while the plane’s 77 passengers continued to Moscow with a delay of about 2 hours.
