Alexey Navalny says his brother is being jailed illegally

Alexey Navalny has appealed to the Russian Supreme Court, demanding the immediate release of his brother, Oleg, in accordance with a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights, which took effect on March 5, 2018.
Last October, the ECHR found that Oleg Navalny’s right to a fair trial had been violated in the so-called “Yves Rocher” case that sent him to prison for three and a half years in December 2014.
Even if the Supreme Court rejects Alexey Navalny’s appeal, Oleg is due to go free in about three months.
