Russia's Communist-millionaire presidential candidate tries to weasel out of shaving his mustache after failing to win 15 percent of Sunday's vote
Pavel Grudinin, the Communist Party’s millionaire candidate, is trying to weasel out of his promise to shave his mustache if he failed to win 15 percent of the vote on Sunday.
On February 6, he agreed with blogger Yuri Dud to shave his whiskers if he couldn’t break the threshold. If he did, Dud promised to shave his head.
Grudinin says he’s still ready to lose the ‘stache, but now he’s insisting that Dud must first declare on camera that Sunday’s elections were fair. On Monday, Dud tweeted a photo of a Soviet shaving razor, reminding Grudinin that he lost their bet.
