Thai police arrest the woman who leaked photos of Oleg Deripaska and Sergey Prikhodko meeting aboard a yacht

Did Thai law enforcement finally catch up to “Nastya Rybka” (Anastasia Vashukevich) and Alex Leslie (Alexander Kirillov), or was it the long arm of billionaire Oleg Deripaska, who’s suing them both for violating his privacy? All we know now is that Rybka and Leslie were arrested this weekend on the island of Ko Lan for organizing “sex training” for Russian tourists.

Leslie faces a fine of more than $3,000, and Russia’s embassy in Thailand has confirmed that he’ll be deported back to Russia, along with Rybka. According to The Nation, police detained 43 of Leslie’s customers, each of whom reportedly paid $625 to participate in his program.

Why is Deripaska suing Rybka and Leslie?

Nastya Rybka is the self-described “escort girl” who shared videos and photographs of Deripaska’s meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Prikhodko aboard a yacht in August 2016.

In early February 2018, Alexey Navalny published an investigative report based on Rybka’s social media posts and a book she wrote, accusing Deripaska of bribing Prikhodko, and possibly meeting to discuss Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Rybka’s “sex trainer,” Leslie also shared details about Rybka’s meetings with Deripaska, who won an injunction that led Russia’s federal censor to ban the sharing of the photos and videos.
