Seventeen-year-old dressed as policeman took part in actual raids

Source: RIA Novosti

Moscow police have begun investigating reports that a seventeen-year-old was posing as a police officer, reported the press office of the municipal authorities. No other details were officially reported, but publication Life produced a series of pieces devoted to a seventeen-year-old “investigator” who wormed his way into the confidence of the police.

According to the publication, the teenager made the acquaintance of police officers through an online messaging system reserved for police officials. Then, under the guise of a senior lieutenant, the teenager began to participate in police operations. He carried an air gun resembling a standard-issue Makarov handgun.

The young man was exposed after participating in a raid in a Moscow brothel when officers from Russia’s Internal Security Department officers arrived at the police station and began checking the documents of all employees.

Publication Life claims that the teenager was arrested for five days under a civil offense forbidding the use of police uniforms by people other than law enforcement officials.
