Ramzan Kadyrov may hire private instructors from the United States to work at an international training center for special forces in Chechnya.

"In the initial stages [it is hoped] that up to 200 [international] instructors will be attracted. These are the best specialists in the world," said Kadyrov in an interview with Interfax.

Kadyrov said that about ten employment applications have been received from private American instructors.

"We cannot deny the fact that there are truly cool guys in the US with rich experience in overt and covert special operations in Latin America, Asia, [and] Africa," Kadyrov said.

"Official US Special Forces are being sanctioned here in Chechnya," Kadyrov said. "I do not quite understand what these guys can teach Russian fighters. [After all], our team at the World Championships in Jordan ranked first, while the Americans were somewhere below the top twenty," he said.

The international training center for special operations forces is set to be created in Gudermes in 2018. The center will have a runway, a parachuting complex, facilities to practice terrorism fighting skills, and mine-explosive testing ground.

"This is a huge town, which has no analogues. It is located on an area of over 400 hectares," said Kadyrov.

"The pecial forces will learn to identify a potential terrorist threat, to liberate hostages, and [kill] terrorists," he said.
