Almost a quarter of Russians say they're willing to sell their votes in next month's parliamentary elections

Almost a quarter of Russians (23 percent) say they're willing to sell their votes in parliamentary elections scheduled for next month, according to a new national survey by the sociological institute the Levada Center. 

Eleven percent of respondents said they'd sell their votes for 5,000 rubles ($77), and another five percent said they'd sell their votes for a more substantial sum of money. Meanwhile, 63 percent of those surveyed said they wouldn't sell their votes under any circumstances.

A majority of Russians (51 percent) say they expect election irregularities in the vote next month. Just 22 percent believe the elections will be free of violations.
