Russia's Communist Party has paid for billboards stamped with a large portrait of Stalin to be installed across the Siberian city of Novosibirsk.
Local businessman Alexander Filyurin posted a picture of one of the billboards on his Facebook account.
A total of 25 billboards sporting the Soviet dictator will go up across town, says a representative from Novosibirsk's regional Communist Party.
“The idea came about naturally. Stalin was the Supreme Commander and he led the country throughout the Great Patriotic War… [T]his fact cannot be erased from history. Veterans and participants in the Great Patriotic War view him positively,” said the Communist Party representative.
