Source: Interfax

The Russian Attorney General has promised to open an investigation into offshore accounts revealed in the so-called “Panama Papers”—the biggest leak of confidential documents about offshore companies in the history of investigative journalism. So far, the leak has revealed information about dirty dealings involving 12 heads of state and hundreds of some of the most famous and influential people on the planet, ranging from high-ranking Russian officials to Jackie Chan.

“The Russian Attorney General will review the information published by the Russian and foreign media about a number of Russian individuals and entities that allegedly hold offshore companies and accounts,” a spokesman for the office said.
