Ramzan Kadyrov is giving it his all to remain in news headlines. Today, he gave an interview to a radio station declaring his dream of “creating divisions, leading them, and fighting against Russia's enemies.” Asked where he'd expect to fight, Kadyrov answered, “Anywhere.”

Kadyrov also claimed, once again, that he's given no thought to the expiration of his five-year term as head of the Chechen government, which is set to end on April 5. “It's all up to Allah. I'm just a footsoldier,” he said, adding that he would accept another term in office, if he's asked to return.

In the interview, Kadyrov also responded to a report released earlier today by oppositionist Ilya Yashin, where the Chechen leader is described as a threat to Russia's national security. “[Yashin's] report is just rumors from the Internet,” Kadyrov said. “We have a slogan: he who doesn't understand will soon understand. Soon they'll all realize that they were wrong,” he added.
