A Moscow man is suing the American fast food chain McDonald's for using in an advertisement part of a poem by Adelina Adalis, claiming that he owns the rights to her work and McDonald's never obtained his permission.

The man, whose name hasn't been reported, wants 35 million rubles ($472,000) in damages. He is also suing the television stations that aired McDonald's commercial.

The civil suit is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 18. It is still unclear which McDonald's ad is at the center of this lawsuit.
