Tsarnaev was framed by US secret services, Chechen leader says

Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has stated that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was sentenced to death last week in the USA, fell victim to US intelligence agencies. He wrote on his Instagram account in a caption for a photograph of Tsarnaev: “I do not believe that the Tsarnaevs committed this terrorist attack without the knowledge of US secret services, that is, if they even committed the attack.”

According to Kadyrov, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older of the two brothers, was killed “under very strange circumstances.” Kadyrov also noted that Ibragim Todashev, an acquaintance of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed during an interrogation.

Kadyrov wrote that the Tsarnaev brothers had “ideal biographies for becoming gubernatorial candidates” because they “did well in school, did sports, composed music, the oldest was married and had a child… Who made them into terrorists?” Kadyrov asks in his Instagram post.

Who can guarantee that after executing Tsarnaev, he won’t be found innocent tomorrow? This happens often in the USA. He was nine years old when he came to the US. And the America that he had faith in has made him into a terrorist.

A jury has unanimously sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death for his role in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. Tsarnaev, a 21-year-old college student, is of Chechen descent, had come to the US as a child, and had been naturalized as an American citizen in 2012.

The terrorist attack took place on April 15, 2013 at the Boston Marathon. Two homemade bombs exploded 12 seconds apart at the finish line. Three people died, 260 people were injured.

Two days after the attack, while on the run, the Tsarnaev brothers fatally shot MIT police officer Sean Collier near the MIT campus. During the chase, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older brother, was killed.

Ibragim Todashev, who knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was detained and interrogated in connection with the case, and was fatally shot by an FBI officer during one of the interrogations in May 2013. The US Ministry of Justice ruled that the FBI officer shot him in self-defense when Todashev attacked him.

In May 2013, Ramzan Kadyrov called the Tsarnaev brothers “Shaitans,” or devils: “I confirm with great confidence that Tamerlan and Dzhokhar are real Shaitans, the greatest Shaitans. For this reason I do not defend them and am not going to say a single word in their favor,” said the head of Chechnya.
