The head office of St. Petersburg's Investigative Committee has fired an employee for driving around the town of Nevskaya Dubrovka in an agency car while drunk and dressed only in his underwear. The incident occurred on July 3. Eyewitnesses say the man was blasting chanson music from the car's stereo.

According to the district attorney's press service, the man worked as a driver for the Main Investigations Directorate of the Petersburg Investigative Committee. He'd held the job for roughly six years.

In addition to losing his job, the man also faces possible disciplinary actions, pending an exit review.

All day long today throughout the town of Nevskaya Dubrovka, a man drove around in an official Investigative Committee car. Chanson blasted from inside, the emergency lights flashed, and the siren “quacked.”
