The spokeswoman for Russia's Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, well known for attention-grabbing behavior that includes writing politically-charged poems on social media and issuing various strong-worded criticisms directed at Western powers, outdid herself earlier today at a gala dinner for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, where she danced to the Russian song “Kalinka” before a large crowd.
Zakharova performed the entire dance, which includes three solos and three verses. Earlier in the day, she warned a group of journalists that she planned to perform her favorite dance at the dinner, later in the evening.
The ASEAN summit is taking place in Sochi on May 19 and 20.
